Rhode Island Red
This beautiful rich brown colored bird is a fabulous addition to your farmyard for both meat and eggs. The Rhode Island Red is extremely docile and a good dual purpose breed. The hens are hardy and will lay well throughout the winter a good number of dark brown eggs. The roosters make for excellent eating, well flavored non-fatty meat!
